The third instalment of my Cassius novels is finished and finally ready for release on the 23rd July.
You’re entitled to ask why it took so long. All I can say is that this one was tough. I needed to completely re-work the ending, something that added a whole year to the project! However, I’m pleased I took the extra time the get the book exactly how I wanted and I hope readers will appreciate the result.
In this third instalment, I thought it was important to return my main character to Germany but as ever with Cassius, his path is never straightforward…
Accused of high treason,
A known subversive,
Rome’s only hope…
The third part to Thomas M D Brooke’s Cassius Chronicles.
A year has passed since Cassius received the devastating news that his lover, Numeria, was leaving him for a new life in Greece. Whilst his own personal status has been elevated to the exalted rank of Roman Senator, Cassius gleans little satisfaction from his position as he struggles to come to terms with losing her.
His errant lifestyle once again finds him in trouble – but this time it may have deadly consequences, as he incurs the wrath of Livia, wife of Augustus. Branded a traitor and a dangerous renegade, Cassius is given just one slim chance of redeeming himself, but it requires him to return to the land of his nightmares, the dark forests of Germany.
There he must ensure a lasting peace with one of the most feared Germanic tribes, the Marcomanni, ruled by a tyrannical king whose very name is steeped in legend – Maroboduus, the Great Raven.
The release date is set for the 23rd July, however it’s available for pre-order now on kindle.

For those of you who are not familiar with the story, I have decided to give away the first part of the series, Roman Mask on Kindle between the following days – 23rd July – 27th July.
Click here between those dates to order your free kindle edition.

I have so enjoyed your wonderful series – please finish The Cassius Chronicles IV very soon! Regards, Priscilla G.
